Welcome back to Week One of Summer Term Two! We are missing you all very much and we have loved seeing all of your wonderful work in our Gallery. I am so proud of all of you for being so creative and hard working.

Our Topic for Summer Term Two is 'Animal Kingdom' and our focus for this week is 'Welcome to the Jungle'. As well as Topic, you will find English, Maths and PE ideas below. Remember there is no expectation for you to complete all of the tasks below. Work at a pace that suits you, take regular breaks and enjoy the learning!

Monday

Today's focus is English. You are going to create a storyboard about Impala the Leopard and a narrow escape! In Maths, play Times Tables Rock Stars. How many levels can you pass in the Garage today?

Tuesday

Today's focus is Maths. Year 3 are multiplying a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number and Year 4 are dividing a 2-digit number by a single digit. There are two worksheets for each year group but remember you do not have to complete them all. The Twinkl sheets get progressively harder so pick a page that you feel confident completing. In English, watch the video on fronted adverbials and try the quiz.

Wednesday

Today's focus is English. You are revising fronted adverbials and identifying them in sentences. Remember you do not have to complete all of the work but try to write at least 3 sentences of your own. In Maths, continue your quest in 'Defenders of Mathematica!'

Thursday

Today's focus is Maths. Year 3 are dividing a 2-digit number by a 1-digit number. After watching the 3 videos, go straight to Activity 3 MyMaths work. Year 4 are dividing a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number. After watching the video and slideshow, select either Activity 1 or 2 to complete.  In English, play 'Fronted Adverbial Random Wheel'. Spin the wheel and think of a sentence using the fronted adverbial. You could say it aloud to a member of your family or write it down. Once you have used it, you can eliminate it. If you would like a challenge click on the 'Wordsearch'.

Friday

Today's focus is English. You are going to write a short story about a narrow escape. Instead of Maths today, you have a PSHE lesson on kindness. After thinking about the questions on the webpage, complete the activity that is appropriate to your age.

This week in our 'Famous for More than Five Minutes' topic we are looking at 'Famous Sportsmen and Women' and you get to choose the person to focus your work on! Today's focus is English. You are learning about the features of Non-Chronological Reports. Use a dictionary to discover the meaning of unknown words and remember to check your understanding of the text as you go. There is no expectation for you to read all of the reports. In Maths, play Times Tables Rock Stars. How many levels can you pass in the Garage today?
